Meet Dr. Gareth Trichardt
Affectionately known as Dr. T, Dr. Trichardt (pronounced “Trick-Heart”) is a second-generation chiropractor with a lifelong commitment to helping people live healthier, pain-free lives.
Originally from a small town in Illinois, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic, following in the footsteps of his father—and even sharing the same alma mater as Dr. Marcella Brechler.
A Legacy of Healing
Dr. T’s story begins in Pretoria, South Africa, where his father experienced crippling migraine headaches as a young man. After getting life-changing relief from a chiropractor, he made a bold decision: to become one himself. With incredible determination, he hitchhiked 1,000 miles to Cape Town, which is on the southern tip of Africa, slept on the streets for two weeks, and searched relentlessly for a job on a boat bound for the United States.
Eventually arriving through Ellis Island, Dr. T’s dad hitchhiked another 1,000 miles, this time to Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he began his new life in healing. “He met my mom, who was going to an all-women Catholic College, on a blind date. They fell in love and created a family.”
Dr. T grew up in a small Midwestern town, where his family lived above his father’s bustling chiropractic clinic. “I would sneak downstairs and watch him care for patients from all walks of life. I told him, I want to help people just like you do, Dad! Dr. T’s father told him, “When you’re old enough, you have to go to Palmer College of Chiropractic, because it’s the best.” That legacy lives on today. Dr. T honors his father’s journey by continuing the mission: helping people feel better, move better, and live better—naturally.
