Meet Dr. William Garofolo
Dr. Garofolo, also known as “Dr. G,” grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the former steel town capital of the country. After completing his undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University, he went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1985. He is a seasoned professional, entering his 40th year in clinical practice.
From Florida to the Field: A Career of Dedication
Immediately following graduation, Dr. Garofolo began practicing in beautiful Naples, Florida, then relocated his office to Fort Myers, Florida, for the next 25 years. He maintained a flourishing family practice and was fortunate to have treated the Minnesota Twins baseball team during their Spring Training in Fort Myers for 20 years.
Dr. G enjoyed working with these elite athletes and seeing the tremendous benefits of incorporating physical medicine modalities, therapeutic procedures, and sports taping to complement the chiropractic treatments.

Leading in Laser Therapy and Patient Education
Dr. Garofolo then focused his practice interests on spinal disc rehabilitation, the treatment of peripheral neuropathy, and Class IV Laser Therapy. He served as the clinic director, as well as an active practitioner, at a large facility in The Villages, Florida, providing state-of-the-art technology to patients for the past 14 years.
He designed and presented weekly PowerPoint presentations in the office and off-site on these chronic conditions to educate and improve the quality of life for residents of Central Florida.
Dr. G is now setting off on a new adventure in the desert Southwest with his family.
Lifelong Learning and Personal Passion
While a dedicated chiropractic physician, Dr. Garofolo remains a lifelong student. “I’m always looking to enhance my skills and techniques by attending conferences throughout the year to keep myself up to date with all of the latest technology in my profession.” He has been a lifelong athlete as well as a Certified Personal Trainer and truly understands and appreciates the benefits of daily stretching, physical exercise, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. G is known for his approachable personality, a wonderful bedside manner, and smile. He shows much kindness and compassion toward his patients. He also has a strong desire to continue sharing his lifelong practice experiences and to continually improve the quality of life for patients at Elite Pain Relief and Wellness.
Outside the Practice
When not working full-time, Dr. Garofolo enjoys spending quality time with his dear wife, Jamie, his dogs, and volunteering at local events. His many hobbies include backwater catch-and-release fishing, hiking, gardening, precision woodworking, and exercising with his competitive Frisbee dog, Sadie Baby. He enjoys all sports, especially football and cheering on his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers! Unsurprisingly, Dr. G is also a regular at his local fitness club.
